Eugene McKeever advanced to Saturday’s U/22 quarter-finals on a unanimous decision over Daniel Hoolihan, while Shannon Sweeney beat Ciara Anderson in the first ever women’s bout over three, three minute rounds at the home of Irish boxing. read more

TRAINING NOTICE – ELITE SCHOOLBOYS AND DEVELOPMENT SQUAD

Elite Schoolboys Squad Training for last year’s Boy 1 and Boy 2 Champions takes place this Sunday in the High Performance Gym at the National Boxing Stadium.

Training starts at 11.30am and finishes at 3:30pm.

Meantime, squad training for the Development Squad (over 18’s) will re-commence in Crumlin Boxing Club Windmill Road, Crumlin, Dublin 12 at 11am sharp starting Saturday 28th January. Any queries please call Paddy Osborne (086) 1008 367. read more

Boxing begins at 6.30pm.

Admission: €10 for adults and €5 for children (U/14). Admission payable at the door.

GLEN BC LOOKS FORWARD TO NEXT 100 YEARS

The final bell tolled on the Glen Boxing Club Centenary (1916-2016) celebrations in Cork last weekend after they met the Birmingham City BC at their 100th birthday bash at the Commons Inn on Leeside.

Founded in humble beginnings in the Rebel County in 1916 – their first clubhouse and gym was in a terraced house in Blackpool – the Glen BC has earned its place as one of the great Irish sporting institutions of our time. read more
