CASSIDY ADVANCES BUT NESBITT BOWS OUT

Keylan Casidy advanced following a top drawer performance against Mexico’s Arriaga Olvera at the World Championships in Serbia today.

By Rickey Nesbittt bowed out of the tournament on a unanimous decision.

Cassidy was on top in all three rounds this afternoon against Olvera and turned on a master class, according to Irish team manager Peter O’Donnell.

The final scores read 30-27 x 4 and 30-26 to the Irishman. He’ll now be back in action on Monday.

Nesbit was beaten 5-0 by Uzbekistan’s Nodrjon Mirakhmador.
