The IABA is delighted to confirm that clubs, county boards and provincial councils (units) who were successfully affiliated for the 2021/22 season will not have to pay affiliation or insurance fees for the 2022/2023 season. This is a saving of in the region of €650 for each unit.
IABA is mindful of the financial challenges many units within the organisation face, and thanks to the work of the IABA staff team in successfully securing resilience funding, are in a position to fund affiliation and insurance fees for this season 2022/23. The IABA would like to acknowledge the work of the subcommittee put in place by the board of directors and the support of Sport Ireland.
In order for units to access free affiliation and insurance fees for season 22/23 and enjoy the privileges of membership they must fulfil the following criteria:
- Have been successfully affiliated in season 2021/22
- Must submit their application for affiliation through the Blocworx online platform before 1st June 2022
Affiliation for the 2022/2023 season opens at midday on Saturday, April 30th, through the Blocworx portal.
Please be aware, submission of an affiliation application does not mean a unit is successfully affiliated. All applications must be fully reviewed and signed off before a unit will be deemed successfully affiliated. For the avoidance of doubt, the membership shall only become effective on the date all approvals have been finalised.
Additional information in relation to the process, including individual Blocworx log in details, accompanying guidance videos and procedural documents will be issued to Clubs, County Boards and Provincial Councils on Friday 29th April 2022.
