Kellie Harrington meets New Zealand’s Tory Garton in Ireland’s opening bout at the AIBA World Women’s Elite Championships in New Delhi, India tomorrow.
Both lightweights will be in the ring at approximately 2pm (Irish time) Friday.
If Harrington, a silver medallist at light-welter at the 2016 Worlds, wins the last 32 bout she’ll be back between the ropes on Sunday, along with Grainne Walsh, in the last 16.
Ceire Smith, Michaela Walsh, Amy Broadhurst and Aoife O’Rourke box Saturday.
The 10th edition of the tournament got underway today.
Irish Elite boxing is battling on two international fronts this weekend, with the men in Spain and the women in Asia.
