The International Boxing Association (AIBA) is gearing up to celebrate International Boxing Day today, July 22nd.
The International Boxing Day awards will take place online this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, according to the AIBA.
AIBA member countries will take part in the celebration.
The International Boxing Day concept originated in 2017 in Russia and was recognized by the AIBA Executive Committee in 2019.
The second edition will take place worldwide by awarding AIBA “Best in Boxing” awards.
