NATIONAL U/22 AND NOVICE  CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017

Venue: National Stadium, Dublin

Dates: January 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 27th & 28th

Weigh-in Friday, January 13th at 8.00-11.00am

Under 22’s weigh-in each morning

Novices weigh in on the first day and Finals day.

Weigh in times for 20th & 27th 8.00-900am & 12.00-1.00pm

Weigh in times for Sat 21st & 28th 8.00-9.00am

Draw: 2.00pm Friday 13th January.

Boxing: Friday 13th at 6.30pm

Saturday 14th at 11.00am

Duration of Rounds:

Under 22’s Men and Women 3X3 Minute Rounds using (10oz gloves 48/49kg-64kg 12oz Gloves 69kg-91+kg )

Novices: Men and Women 3X2 Minute Rounds using 14oz gloves.

Headguards will only be worn by Novices males and all females.

Weights:

Under 22’s

Female 48kg; 51kg; 54kg; 57kg; 60kg; 64kg; 69kg; 75kg; 81kg; 81+kg (10 weights)

Male 49kg; 52kg; 56kg; 60kg; 64kg; 69kg; 75kg; 81kg; 91kg; 91+kg (10 weights)

Novices

Men kg 48; 51; 54; 57; 60; 64; 67; 71; 75; 81; 85; 91; 91+ (13 weights)

Women kg 46; 48; 50; 52; 54; 57; 60; 63; 66; 70; 75; 80; 86 (13 weights)

Qualifying Criteria:

Under 22’s Year of Birth 1995 – 1998

Novices: Year of Birth 1977-1999 Age 17-40 years for male and female. First registered between 1st January 2015 and 31st Dec 2016.

Entries:

Medical Record Cards and Entry fee of €20 must be produced at the initial weigh-in.

Entries should be forwarded to reach the undersigned not later than Wednesday, January 11th giving name, Date of Birth, weight, and Club. Entries are subject to vetting and it is a condition of entry that all competitors and officials have signed the Waiver/Members Acknowledgement Form.

Males must present themselves clean shaven and all boxers must advise the doctor of any medication they are taking or have taken in the preceding 4 weeks. Anti-Doping may be carried out at any stage of the championships. It is imperative that all boxers adhere to the Anti-Doping Rules and Regulations- any queries regarding this matter please contact Mr Larry Morrison Anti-Doping Officer IABA on 0860292476

Attention is called to the stipulation in the IABA Ltd Rule Book that each boxer presented by his or her club should be fit to box. This is the responsibility of the Club.

Boxers must have one red and one blue vest. Coaches must wear tracksuits and trainers at all sessions, and endeavour to set a high standard of hygiene in the corners, no caps will be permitted.

No International Vests to be worn

No Persons Under 18yrs allowed in the Field of Play

No Red, Orange or pink Gum shields.

Male Boxers must be Clean shaven.

Sportsmanship: All decisions must be accepted in a sporting manner and any complaints must be addressed to the Chief Official Stephen Connolly. Please show respect to all Ringside Officials.
