Michael Nevin meets Lithuania’s Vytautas Balsys for a place in the last 16 of the World Elite Championships in Ekaterinburg, Russia tomorrow.

The Portlaoise BC middleweight, who has one win under his belt at the 20th edition of the tournament, and Balsys go head-to-head over three, three minute rounds in the 11th bout on Saturday’s program.

Azerbaijan’s Amin Kushkhov and Russia’s No. 8 seed Gleb Bakshi clash in the corresponding contest.

Boxing begins at 11am (Irish time) on Saturday morning and 3pm local time.

Aidan Walsh impressed on his Friday the 13th World Elite debut this afternoon en route to victory over Israeli welter Miroslav Kapuler-Cishchenko.
