O’SHEA TO CLIMB KILIMANJARO FOR CHARITY

Former Irish Elite champion Lynne O’Shea is taking on the mighty snow-capped Kilimanjaro to raise funds for four-year-old Noah.

O’Shea, a boxing coach at the St Paul’s BC in Waterford, is planning to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in March.

Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, stands at 16,100ft.

“I’m trying to raise some funds for my friend’s little boy who has cerebral palsy. Noah is four years old and cannot walk without any aid, said O’Shea.

“He has been accepted in the USA for surgery and if the surgery is successful in time will be able to freely walk and hopefully run.

“The cost is €100,000. Hopefully, with plenty of shares and awareness people will donate and sponsor. “
