Team Ireland depart for World Junior Championships.

 

11 Team Ireland boxers have departed today for the  IBA World Junior Championships in Yerevan, Armenia

The last World Junior events were held in 2015 – the men’s tournament was in St Petersburg, Russia, and the women’s was in Chinese Taipei.

The last time Team Ireland contested in the Armenian capital was at the 2022 Men’s European Championships – Gabriel Dossen came home with middleweight gold, and Dylan Eagleson claimed bantamweight silver.

The World Championships will take place from November 22nd to December 4th, and boxing begins on Friday.

The tournament will be live-streamed by the IBA on its YouTube channel – links, per ring and session, will become available on the relevant day of boxing.
