Ireland’s boxers will be in the thick of the action again today with six between the ropes in Braila,Romania and Anapa,Russia.

Irish captain Thomas Carthy, Eugene McKeever Geoffrey Kavanagh are between the ropes at the European U/22 Championships in Braila.

Jordan Moore and Kurt Walker recorded a double at the second edition of the tournament yesterday to add to Keylan Cassidy’s victory Tuesday.

Meanwhile, in Russia, Irish skipper Aaron McKenna and Paddy Donovan debut in the last 16 at the Pavlyukov Youth Memorial, while Eamer Coughlan, also debuting, will be fighting for at least bronze.

Coughlan and Donovan are both on at 9.15am in different rings and McKenna at 10am (all Irish times) this morning.

Anapa is three hours ahead of Ireland.
