Community Employment training & development opportunity.

The Irish Athletic Boxing Association has a number of available CE training and development opportunities.

We need people to assist with boxing and other events, to help with the turnaround of venues, car park maintenance and related matters.T hese roles include:

Maintenance workers, based in Dublin 8

General Operatives, based in Dublin 8

Office Admin Assistants, based in Dublin 8

Administrative roles also available, which involve general office duties.

CE scheme opportunities are available to people who are not currently employed and who are in receipt of a Social Welfare payment. Participation includes a 19.5 hour work week, quality training with recognised qualifications, retention of Social Welfare payments and receipt of at least an extra €27.50.

2023 National J1 & J2 Championships

Boxing begins in the Junior 1 and Junior 2 championships this Friday evening and will continue on:

Saturday, April 22nd from 11am, following the conclusion of 3 remaining Boy/Girl 4 finals.

Saturday, April 29th

Sunday, April 30th, from 2.30pm

Weigh-in arrangements:

  • Friday: 8am to 9am and 12pm to 1pm
  • Saturday 8am to 9am
  • Sunday: 8am to 9am and 12pm to 1pm

2023 Boy & Girl 4 Championship finals programme.

The finals of the 2023 Boy and Girl 4 National Championships take place on Friday and Saturday at the National Stadium.

Boxing on Friday begins at 6pm:

Boxing on Saturday begins at 11am, and will be followed by the opening bouts in the 2023 National J1 and J2 Championship. The draw for those competitions takes place this afternoon.

Weigh-in arrangements:

  • Weigh-ins on both days are 8am to 9am.
  • Late weigh is are available by contacting Philip Rooney or Anna Moore.

Notice: Kildare Fundamentals Coaching Course

Unfortunately, the Fundamentals: Assistant Coach course scheduled to take place in Co. Kildare this weekend has been cancelled.

Direct contact has been made with all members registered for this course.

It is open to intending participants to:

  1. Attend the course in Holy Family, Drogheda 22/04/23
  2. Attend rescheduled course in National Stadium, Dublin. Date TBD
