The draws have taken place for the 2023 National Elite Championships. Irish boxing’s marquee competition will take place over 4 days – January 13th, 14th, 20th and 21st at the National Stadium, Dublin.
The Officer Board of the Central Council has announced that 11 awards will be bestowed on the occaision of the 2023 National Elite Championship Final, on January 21st at the National Stadium.
The awards are for the IABA Hall of Fame, Lifetime Services to Boxing, Coaches Services to Boxing and Presidential Services to Boxing.
Entries to the 2023 National Elite Championships are now closed – entries are no longer being accepted.
Entries were accepted, over a 31 day period from December 6th, in 25 weight categories:

The entry list will be released on the evening of Sunday, January 8th, and the draw will take place at 1pm on Tuesday, January 10th. Draws will be published on that evening, and programmes of boxing on Wednesday, January 11th.
Boxing begins on January 12th, and will continue until January 21st.
The deadline for entries to the 2023 National Elite Championships is approaching – entries will not be accepted after 5pm on Friday, January 6th.
A reminder to all clubs who have submitted boxer’s information but who have not paid fees that, as per the circular, boxers for whom fees have not been paid through Blocworx by 5pm on January 6th will not be allowed to box.
The 2023 National Elite Championships are the de facto beginning of selection for the Paris 2024 Olympics. All boxers wishing to be considered for the selection pool for any Olympic Games qualifiers must enter these Elite championships
Club review period
The club review period, originally scheduled to run from 5pm on January 6th to 5pm on January 8th, has been removed. The entry list will be published, as originally scheduled, after 5pm on January 8th.
Entry to the 2023 National Elite Championships is online, through your club’s Blocworx affiliation portal. Please log in using the same username and password your club used for the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 affiliation. If your username or password are no longer available to you, please contact Sally sally@iaba.ie, James james@iaba.ie or Ciara ciara@iaba.ie and your username and password will be reissued to you.

Entries open at 5pm on Tuesday, December 6th and close at 5pm on Friday, January 6th
€40, per boxer. Entry must be paid, online, at the point of entry or boxers cannot be included in the draw. Fees are non-refundable, including in instances where boxers withdraw. All fees must be paid by 5pm on January 6th.
