The Irish Athletic Boxing Association (IABA) invites you to a media event tomorrow, Wednesday, 11th May (10am), at the Irish Institute of Sport, National Sports Campus, Abbotstown, Dublin
Team Ireland is currently in a two-week intensive training camp with over 40 Elite boxers from Great Britain, Germany, India and Kazakhstan in Abbotstown. All five nations have qualified 30 boxers for Rio so far with three qualifiers remaining.
So far, Paddy Barnes, Brendan Irvine, Michael Conlan, David Oliver Joyce, Steven Donnelly and Joe Ward have qualified for Ireland.
Wednesday’s media day is an ideal opportunity to observe Team Ireland in the new state-of-the-art purpose built training centre in Abbotstown at a world class IABA hosted training camp counting down to the start of the 31st Olympiad on August 5.
Our athletes and coaches will be available for one-on-one interviews.
