Team Ireland and opponents weighed-in this morning ahead of their European Youth semi-finals in Poland.

Stephen McKenna (48.9kg), Willie Donoghue (51.7kg), James McGivern (59.1kg), Michael Nevin (68.7kg) and John Joyce (74.5kg) tipped the scales in Kolobrzeg. All five are guaranteed at least bronze.

McKenna and Joyce will be in action in the afternoon session and Donoghue, McGivern and Nevin in the evening session. Boxing begins at 1pm and 5pm (Irish times).

Russia and Ireland, with seven and five boxers each, have the highest representation in the last-four of the 38-nation tournament.

“We have a tough day ahead of us, but everyone is ready to go,” said Irish team manager Brian Wallace.
