IABA EXTEND CONDOLENCES TO CUNNINGHAM FAMILY

Everyone at the IABA extends their deepest condolences to the Cunningham family and wider circle on the sudden loss of Harry Cunningham Snr.

Harry was the current County Antrim Board Vice President and served on the board for more than 30 years in various different roles.

Harry was also on many of International trips as Irish Team Head coach and was club coach of his two very successful boxing sons Liam and Harry Jnr who both represented Ireland on several occasions.

Harry will be fondly remembered for his services to boxing both on the County Antrim Board and through Ireland. Harry leaves behind a very loving family who we all send our prayers and sympathies to at this very sad time.

May he Rest In Eternal Peace.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: New NI Covid Restrictions

On 14th October the NI Executive introduced new measures that will effect our of our Northern Ireland sports / clubs for the next 4 weeks. These measures come into effect as of 6pm on Friday 16th October 2020.

https://www.executiveoffice-ni.gov.uk/news/executive-tightens-restrictions-curb-covid-19

This is not an ideal situation for anyone in boxing but the most important factor has to be to help save lives by stopping the spread of this virus and making responsible decisions in the best interests of our membership and wider communities.

This will be reviewed by the executive in 4 weeks time on Friday 13th November 2020 where we hope our clubs are in a position to reopen. This has been a tough time for our sport but we will be back and boxing will once again lead the way as we have for so many years.
