There was fantastic engagement with IABA’s Youth Leadership Programme, delivered in collaboration with Limerick Sports Partnership to local TY students, on Monday.
The programme focuses on leadership development, growing valuable skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
By enhancing leadership and coaching abilities, the program helps participants become effective leaders both their boxing clubs, and in their communities. It aligns with IABA’s goals of nurturing talent and developing Irish boxing.
The course was delivered by IABA Coach Developers, Nikki Foley and Sean Duffy.
The programme was first delivered in pilot form alongside the Connacht BG 12 &3 championships in the Hub, Castlerea, on March 29th. Boxers from Castlerea BC, Gateway BC, Drumsna BC and Tobar Pheadair BC, all aged between 14-17 took part in the pilot
