JP Kinsella will be honoured by the Irish Amateur Boxing Association at Friday’s Elite finals at Dublin’s National Stadium.

The Monkstown BC man will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the home of Irish boxing.

James Doyle said it was a proud moment for the Dublin club.

“To receive an award of this stature really is a testament to the type of man jp is and to the club he represents for the dedication, sacrifices,to all the hours upon hours of hard training in a career that’s has lasted twenty five years, which includes representing his country on many occasions, he said.

“That included World and European championships and to just miss out on Olympic qualification but to also then dedicate his life outside the ring to coaching in our community is incredible.

“On behalf of Pauly and the club, I would like to take this opportunity to thank anyone that has helped Pauly over the last twenty five of his boxing/coaching career and hopefully more and more people will support and see how important Paul and the other volunteers and the club is in general to the local kids and community.
