
Ireland recorded five wins from five in the opening two sessions of the European Olympic qualifiers in Paris, France this afternoon and early evening.
Aoife O’Rourke, Aidan Walsh, his sister Michaela,Emmette Brennan and Kellie Harrington emerged victorious.
O’Rourke scored three 10-8 rounds on one card en route to an unanimous decision over Viktoriya Kebikava of Belarus.
And Walsh produced a composed performance to see off France’s Wahid Hambli.
Brennan completed the hat-trick on a unanimous decison over Switzerlands Uke Smajli.
Meanwhile, Michaela Wash beat Mona Mestian of France 4-1 this evening to book her ticket into the last eight.
Kellie Harrington completed a perfect day for Team Ireland at the Villebon Sur Yvette venue. with a unanimous decision over Poland’s Aneta Rygielska, Harrington taking all three rounds 10-7 across the board.
