1 win on Day Three of the World Youth Championships.

Team Ireland Co-Captain Jim Donovan came away with today’s sole win at a testy and challenging World Youth Championships.

In all, 650 boxers from 89 federations are contesting the tournament – 2 rings and six sessions will be in operation throughout the preliminaries.

67kg Jim contested against Korea’s Hoon Lee, and came away with the 5-0 win.

80kg Ryan Murphy leaves the tournament following a round one RSCI in his bout against Uzbekistan, as does 63.5kg Conor McCrory following a Round One RSC in his contest against England. Superheavy, Bernie Cawley, exits following a 5-0 decision in favour of his opponent, Korea.

Day Four

6 Team Ireland boxers are between the ropes on Friday; 3 for their second World bout.

In Ring B’s morning session, Lightweight Yasmin Meredith takes on Brazil’s Rafaela Silva Marques in bout 3. In bout 7, light middle Bobbi Flood meet’s America’s Oshea Amir Anderson

In Bout 5 of Ring A’s afternoon session, 57kg Lee McEvoy steps back between the ropes – he contests against Azerbaijan’s Taji Taghizade.

In bout 3 of Ring B’s afternoon session, welterweight Rebecca Collins is back in action – she faces Uzebekistan’s Sitora Bohodirova.

Featherweight Roy Farrelly aims for two wins in a row when he contests again on Friday – he is in action in bout 8 of Ring A’s evening session against Italy’s Gabriele Fabrizio.

And, in bout 10 of Ring B’s evening session, cruiserweight Nathan Ojo meets Armenia’s Aghvan Aleksanyan.
