The first Female Seminar at the National Stadium in Dublin on Saturday was an informative and educational success, according to Geraldine McTavish, Club Development Manager with the Irish Athletic Boxing Association.
Antoinette Faye, Ireland’s leading female seconds and Youth & Junior High-Performance coach, got proceedings underway at IABA headquarters.
Irish female boxing delivered Ireland’s only Olympic gold medal in all sports this century.
McTavish rolled out the anti-doping workshop at the home of Irish boxing.
She said: “We had great insight into mental health from Mick O’Toole, mental health advisor and key skills in leadership in your role as a coach from Clare O’ Sullivan of innovate together.
“Over 50 female coaches qualified from the women in sport programme. I would like to thank all for taking part in the first Female Seminar and for their invaluable contributions and support.”
