2 boxers awarded ATU Sligo Scholarships

Two boxers have been awarded ATU Sligo Sport Scholarships.

The ATU Sports Scholarship programme provides supports to talented student athletes to recognise their need to balance both sporting and academic commitments.

2025 European U23 bronze medalist, mutliple Irish and IATBA champion Cliona D’Arcy of Tobar Pheadair BC Galway is in her 3rd year of B.Ed. in Home Economics and Irish at ATU Sligo St. Angela’s has been awarded a scholarship – So, too, has Rasheed Momoh of Castlebar BC Mayo. He is the newly crowned National Intermediate champion at 85kg.

In addition to a financial award, the scholarship include gym access, provision of Strength & Conditioning Support, access to Physio Clinics, academic Support, educational Workshops in Nutrition and Psychology, career support, health support and ational/international competition support
