Irish squad


Sis Irish boxers – including David Oliver Joyce and Pierce O’Leary who won yesterday – are in action in today’s quarter-finals at the Brandenburg Youth Cup in Frankfurt/Oder.

The last-eight bouts will be decided over three sessions beginining at 10am, 2pm and 6pm (Irish times) in Germany.

Joyce and Sean Crowley box this morning followed by John Paul Hale, O’Leary and Ownie McDonagh this afternoon.

Cork flyweight Owen McDonagh meets Russia in the 3rd bout in the evening session to complete a busy day for Irish boxing on the German/Poland border.
