Kevin Sheehy, with St Franics BC coaches Ken and Jimmy Moore
Martin Keenan advanced to the last-eight of the Liventsev Memorial in Minsk, Belarus tonight.
The Rathkeale BC super-heavyweight beat Dmitry Makarevich on a unanimous decision in the last bout on the program at the 18 nation tournament.
Earlier today, Regan Buckley went out on a unanimous decision to Nodari Barbaigze of Belarus and Eugene McKeever was edged on a split by Barbaigaize’s compatriot Yauheni Marachauk in a bout the Irish corner of Michael Carruth and Eoin Pluck believed could have gone either way.
Keenan will be back in action tomorrow along with Jordan Moore, James McGivern, Brett McGinty and Kevin Sheehy.
