52kg Grace Conway Dowling, of Tredagh BC, Louth, was up on Sunday, contesting against Taisiia Pokusai of Ukraine. Grace showed great skill and pluck in a testy bout – and faced an agonising wait for the decision, when a bout review was instituted. The 5-2 decision was in favour of Pokusai. Grace comes home with silver following an excellent tournament. read more

4 Ireland boxers have won through to the European Youth Championship Finals, and will box for gold today.

52kg Grace Conway Dowling is first up on Sunday, contesting in Bout 3 of the Afternoon Session – she fights for gold against Taisiia Pokusai of Ukraine. Team Co-Captain 63kg Ava Henry steps between the ropes in Bout 6, against Ukraine’s Yulia Stupakova. In the subsequent bout, 66kg Kyla Doyle Byrne takes on Romania’s Amalia Tugui. read more
