Dervla Duffy lost out in her bid to reach the Boxam Elite finals in the Canary Islands today.

The Irish feather was beaten by Romania’s Perijoc Lacramiora on a uanimous decision in the last-four in Tenerife.

The judges favoured the Romania battler after a full-blooded 57kg clash. Duffy had some good moment in all three rounds, the Irishwoman picking off solid jabs and hooks off each hand.

But Lacramiora kept moving forward to take the verdict and advance to the weekend’s finals on a 29-28 decision across the board.
