EUROPEAN UNION WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIPS

 

 

Ireland’s eight-strong squad depart for Italy tomorrow morning ahead of the opening bell for the 2017 European Union Women’s Elite Championships.

The 19-nation tournament begins on Saturday in Cascia. Please click here tournament details.

The EU Women’s Championships are returning after a three-year absence.

The host nation Bulgaria, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania, Moldova, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Turkey, Wales, Holland and Montenegro have registered to compete.

A press conference will be held Saturday prior to the start of boxing that afternoon at the Palazzetto Gym. The competition period is from August 5th to August 12th.
