Team Ireland will have a light training session this afternoon ahead of the start of the European Youth Championships in Antalya, Turkey.
The squad arrived in Turkey yesterday. Boxing begins tomorrow at the OzkaymakFalez Hotel after Saturday morning’s draw.
The squad are eager to get started, according to Irish coach John Conlan.
“All the usual suspects are here, World and European medallists. It will be very competitive, he said.
“The boys have prepared well.They trained hard and now they’re looking forward to getting the tournament underway.”
The draw will be made at 9am (Irish time) tomorrow morning. Turkey is two hours ahead of Ireland.
