Four Team Ireland boxers contest Silesian Box Cup finals today.

Four Team Ireland boxers will vie for gold at the Silesian Box Cup in Poland today.

Team Captain 50kg Katie O’Keeffe (Kanturk) makes her tournament debut with a straight final against Poland’s Martyna Koczkodaj in bout 4. Likewise, 54kg Niamh Keogh (Olympic Mullingar), who has a straight final against Norway’s Didrik Kaur in bout 6. In the next bout, 57kg Natalia Fascizewska (Castlebar) boxes for gold against Poland’s Anna Sobczynska and 66kg Gabrielle Mongan (Whitechurch) contests her final against Aleksandra Cyrek in bout 10.

While 63kg Rebecca Kavanagh (Mulhuddart) and 81+kg Cliona D’Arcy (Tobar Pheadair) will both come home with bronze medals.
