GABRIEL DOSSEN BEATS AN OLYMPIAN IN EINDHOVEN

World Youth medallist Gabriel Dossen scored an impressive win over an Olympian at the Eindhoven Box Cup in the Netherlands tonight.

The Olympic BC middleweight beat Herry Saliku-Biembe on a unanimous decision in the last eight

Saliku-Biembe, who was representing the Swiss Boxing Team in Eindhoven, lined out for the Democratic Republic of the Congo at the Beijing 2008 Olympics.

”He boxed excellent and dealt with Biambe’s pressure in Round 1. Gabriel’s long reach, speed and movement was too much for his opponent from then on,” said Irish and Olympic BC coach Mike Mongan who is working Dossen’s corner with Johnny Myers.

Dossen will now face of Ramtin Musah of the Beartown ABC in England in the semi-finals tomorrow.

Musah, an English Elite international, edged Dossen on a split decision in a club show in Blackburn last May.
