Tipperary super-heavy Dean Gardiner is in action at the World Elites in Hamburg, Germany tonight.

 

The Clonmel BC man meets Korean southpaw Hyeon Do Kim in the last 32 at approximately 7.30pm (Irish time) tonight.

The opponents for Brendan Irvine’s and Joe Ward’s last 16 bouts on Monday will be unveiled this evening in the fly and light-heavy divisions.

 

Azamat Issakulov (Kazakhstan) meets Inkyu Kim (Korea) and Iago Kizira (Georgia) faces Sean Lazzerini (Scotland).

 

Rio Olymians Irvine and Ward received byes into the last 16.

 

Sean McComb is in against Cuba’s Andy Cruz-Gomez on Sunday for a place in the light-welter quarter-finals.
