Having considered the statement issued by An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar this morning in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The IABA Board of Directors met this evening via teleconference and decided to cancel all boxing activities for affiliated bodies within the IABA until after the 29th March 2020. This timeline will be reviewed in line with Government and HSE guidance.
For clarity, this includes all championships, competition, training and any other boxing related events.
The board of the IABA will continue to monitor the situation and follow the guidance issued by the HSE. We encourage all members to do likewise.
