IABA is delighted that Women in Sport Lead, Sophie Doolan, has been nominated for the prestigious Sport for Business “30 under 30” accolade, supported by PWC. Congratulations, Sophie!
All nominees will come together at an event on May 23rd, to meet in person, share experiences, and forge valuable connections. SFB will also examine additional ways to help those nominated enhance their careers and build strong friendships across the sector.
The citation reads: “Sophie Doolan is the Women in Sport and Inclusion Officer at the Irish Athletic Boxing Association.
Her nomination praised her “relentless work ethic, her dedication to smashing barriers for women participating in Boxing and her enduring bravery in standing up for what she believes in both internally and externally.”
She joined IABA in January 2023, having previously spent time as Competitions and Operations Coordinator at Volleyball Ireland.
In Boxing, she has taken on responsibility for the IABA Women in Sport Policy, the IABA Paris Wave WIS Conference, the IABA Fuelling Success Conference and the I Wish 2025 Her Moves Engagement.
She was Chair of the Tallaght TUD Campus Sports Clubs Guild and coached the TUD Volleyball team while studying for her engineering degree there.”
