NATIONAL UNDER 22 CHAMPIONSHIPS 2019

Venue: National Stadium, Dublin.

Dates: January 11th, 12th 18th, 25th & 26th

Weigh-in Six Units on Sunday 6th January 2019 from 9.00 -10.00am
Munster: Fairgrove Hotel
Leinster: St Michaels Athy
Dublin: Ringside Cub National Stadium
Connacht: Castlerea Boxing Club
Antrim: Dockers Club
Ulster: O’Neills Arms Hotel Toomebridge

Results of weigh-ins to be sent by email to sally@iaba.ie for Monday 7th January. Please ensure all information is correct.

Entry Fee: €20 Per Boxer payable at weigh-in

Draws: Tuesday January 8th at 2.00pm. Results will be emailed to Club secretaries and will be put on the IABA website. Please do not call the office.

Boxing: January 11th at 7.00pm. Other times contingent on entries and will be announced at the draw.

Duration of rounds: Men & Women 3×3 Minutes

Weights: Men Kg 49-52-56-60-64-69-75-81-91-91+ (10 weights)
Women Kg 48-51-54-57-60-64-69-75-81-81+ (10 weights)

Age Requirements: Boxers born years 1997 – 2000

Entries: On the scales on Sunday 6th January 2019 no pre-entry required

Only boxers that weigh in for the National Under 22’s will be eligible for selection for the European Under 22 Championships.

Males must present themselves clean shaven and all boxers must advise the doctor of any medication they are taking or have taken in the preceding 4 weeks. Anti Doping testing may be carried out at any stage of the championships. It is imperative that all boxers adhere to the Anti-Doping Rules and Regulations- any queries regarding this matter please contact Mr Larry Morrison Anti-Doping Officer IABA on 0860292476

Non Pregnancy Declaration forms must be signed.

Attire: Boxers shall have one red and one blue vest. Coaches must wear track suits and runners at all sessions and endeavour to set a high standard of hygiene at all times, no caps/hats are allowed. Boxers must not wear long sleeved shirts under vests. Hair must be tied back and swimming hats/hair nets should be worn under headgear.

No Red, Orange or pink Gum shields.

Only qualified coaches will be allowed in the corner.

Sportsmanship: all decisions must be accepted in a sporting manner any complaints must be addressed to the Chief Official Stephen Connolly. Please show respect to all Ringside Officials.
