STRANDJA MULTI NATIONS – DAY 2 SCHEDULE

Thirteen Irish boxers battle it out for places in the last eight of the Strandja multi-nations in Sofia, Bulgaria today.

Day 2 will be resolved over three sessions beginning at 9am (Irish time).

Antrim flyweight Carly McNaul gets proceedings underway versus Spain.

The afternoon session gloves off at 1pm and the evening session starts at 5pm (Irish times).

2018 World Elite champion Kellie Harrington meets Poland’s ex-World Youth gold medallist and European Elite finalist Aneta Rygielska in the lightweight class in the morning session, and Amy  Broadhurst touches gloves with a familiar foe, Finland’s Mira Potkonen, also at lightweight.

Current European champion Kurt Walker is in against Brazilian feather Carlos Rocha for a place in the quarter-finals.

Ireland impressed after recording six wins out of eight outings on the opening day of competition yesterday.
