Two Boxing double Olympians have been nominated for the PTSB & Olympic Federation of Ireland “Inspiring the Nation” Award.
The accolade recognises the Team Ireland athlete role model that most encourages and motivates others in their sport, and in wider society.
Tokyo and Paris Olympian, Aoife O’Rourke is nominated alongside teammate, Tokyo Olympic lightweight champion and Paris Olympian, Kellie Harrington. The other nominees for the award are:
Sarah Lavin (Athletics)
Rhasidat Adeleke (Athletics)
Amy Wall (Kickboxing)
The winner will be announced at the OFI Team Ireland Olympic Ball takes place on Saturday.
