Following an extensive Covid related lockdown of grass roots boxing in Ireland over Approx. 18 Months, the IABA held their Elite championships in September and October this year to assist in the selection of a team for this year’s Elite World championships. The Men’s team then travelled to Sheffield the home of Team GB boxing to take part in world class sparring returning home today. The IABA High Performance team under the expert eye of Head Coach Zaur Antia were very happy with how the team performed up against top class opposition and have selected the following team to represent Ireland at the Elite Men’s world championships later this month in Serbia.

The Irish Elite Women’s team are currently in training in the National Sports Campus Abbotstown preparing for their World championships due to be held in Turkey this December.
