Team Ireland completed a training session today in the build up to a big weekend of action at the AIBA World Youth Championships in St Petersburg, Russia.

Gabriel Dossen and Michael Nevin are through to Friday’s semi-finals versus Russia and Scotland.

The Galway and Laois light-welter and middleweight – who have won three bouts apiece so far – are guaranteed at least bronze at the 63-nation tournament.

Please click here for Friday’s program. Friday’s semi-finals will be decided over two sessions to pave the way for Saturday’s finals.

The Olympic BC and Portlaose BC duo will be in action in the 5th and 8th bouts in the 1st session which begins at 11am (Irish time).
