12 Team Ireland boxers in semi-final action at the Eindhoven Box Cup.

12 Team Ireland boxers will come home with a minimum of bronze medals from the Eindhoven Box Cup, hosted by the Dutch Boxing Federation – and all ten will vie for finals places.

26 countries are contesting the tournament, which culminates on Monday.

On Quarter Finals Day, 51kg Clepson dos Santos opened Ireland’s account with a win over Sweden and takes on Hungary today. European 54kg silver medalist Dylan Eagleson, contesting for the first time at 57kg, came out the wrong side of a split decision against Sweden. Likewise, 57kg Donagh Keary Germany. 60kg Rhys Owens, 50kg: Caitlyn Fryers and 54kg Rachel Lawless all recorded victories, against Hungary, PRT and DNK, respectively. Today, they meet Germany, Sweden and Germany. 63.5kg Shamie (James) McDonagh, with victory over Ukraine yesterday, meets Hungary in today’s semi finals. 67kg Garreth Dowling claimed quarter finals victory over DNK, and progresses today to meet a home boxer. 75kg Gavin Rafferty won yesterday against Belgium and takes on Germany later.

Makin their tournament debuts at today’s semi final stage are 50kg Chantelle Robinson against Norway, 66kg Kaci Rock against Belgium and 92+kg Martin McDonagh against Ukraine.
