Please scroll down for details of Sunday’s (August 18) Ulster Boxing Council (UBC) AGM in Belfast.

The UBC Officer Board was returned unopposed except for the election of Donegal native James McCarrion as Vice President at the Balmoral Hotel.

Dom O’Rourke, President of the Irish Athletic Boxing Association, attended yesterday’s conference and described proceedings as very positive.

High-Performance coach John Conlan and Sean O’ Hare, the new Ulster Operations manager, also attended the meeting which attracted over 60 attendees.

The UBC discussed several exciting plans for the new season including the hosting of the Ulster Elite Championships at the Ulster Hall for a third successive year.

The Elite Championships were held at the iconic Belfast venue for the last two seasons and both tournaments were highly successful.
