Joe Hernon, Vice-President of the IABA and a member of the AIBA Youth Commission, Breandán Ó Conaire, former President of the IABA and a member of the AIBA Referees and Judges Commission, and referee and judge Anna Moore, a member of the AIBA Women’s Commission, are in New Delhi, India this week for the AIBA 2017 Commission Meetings.

“Following the unanimous decision to reintegrate the Boxing Federation of India at AIBA’s Extraordinary Congress in December, these are important moments for the development of boxing in India, and I am delighted to be here as the BFI shows its determination to become a major force in world boxing. AIBA will now unite more than 100 experts across our Commissions over the next two days as we continue our work on the new Olympic cycle, and having hosted courses for 90 R&Js and Coaches on the eve of these Commissions Meetings, it is clear that boxing has a strong future in this great country,” said the AIBA President Dr. CK Wu.

The 2017 Commission Meetings take place on 27-28 February, bringing together expertise from all areas of the sport as AIBA continues to formulate and optimise the roadmap to Tokyo 2020.
