Monaghan’s Aaron McKenna is in Thursday, along with Limerick and Cork World Junior silver medallists Paddy Donovan and Eamer Coughlan, who is one win away from bronze at the prestigious tournament known as the mini-World Championships.

Leeside middle Tommy Hyde is between the ropes on St Patrick’s Day.

The Irish squad have been training with the host nation, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Scotland, Ukraine and a number of other countries in Anapa ahead of Wednesday’s opening bell.
