Ireland beat England away from home in an Elite, Youth, Junior and Schoolboy/girl international today.
Both nations went head-to-head at Bristol City Hall this afternoon, with Ireland winning 9 of the 16 bouts.
Coach Joe Lavelle hailed the performances of all athletes on today’s card.
“It really was a fantastic show and set up. Everyone boxed very well and it really is encouraging to see the talent coming through,” he said.
Lavelle,Ralph McKay and Anitia Just were working Ireland’s corner in Bristol. Paddy Dingle is Irish team manager.
The Irish squad are due to arrive home via Dublin Airport at 4pm tomorrow.
