Kellie Harrington, pictured, is the new AIBA World No.1 ranked women’s lightweight, according to the newly updated AIBA rankings.
The Dubliner is in pole position after winning World Elite gold at the World Championships in New Delhi last November and European Elite bronze earlier in 2018.
Current European U/22 champion Amy Broadhurst, who reached the last eight at in New Delhi,is ranked No. 8 at light welter.
Michaela Walsh is also included.The Belfast feather is ranked No. 16 in the 57kg class.
Harrington, John Joe Nevin, Michael Conlan and Katie Taylor, the latter trio have switched codes, are the only Irish boxers to be ranked No. 1 in the World.
Harrington, a silver medalist at the 2016 World Elites at light welter, is the only Irish boxer to win World medals at two different limits.
The Men’s AIBA rankings were last updated in September, 2017.
