IABA unveils Paris 2024 Olympic Games Ambassador.

IABA is proud to name the Association’s Ambassador to the Olympic Games. Anna Moore will travel to Paris during the Games to represent the Irish Boxing Family.

Anna has been named the first ever IABA Ambassador in recognition of her long and vital service to boxing, and the boxing community, at home and abroad.

She will attend boxing at the Paris du Nord arena, and witness all currently qualified Irish boxers in action. She will also be honoured guests at cultural events held in tandem with the Olympic Games, including a reception at the Olympic Federation of Ireland’s Paris base, the Irish Cultural Centre.

The boxing at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games takes place from July 28th to August 10th. Six Team Ireland boxers have already qualified: reigning Olympic lightweight champ, Kellie Harrington, and now double Olympians 57kg Michaela Walsh and Aoife O’Rourke. 57kg Jude Gallagher booked his ticket to Paris at the 1st Olympic World Qualifier. 63.5kg Dean Clancy and heavyweight, Jack Marley, qualified at the 2023 European Games.

7 boxers, 50kg Daina Moorehouse, 54kg Jennifer Lehane, 66kg Grainne Walsh, 51kg Sean Mari, 71kg Aidan Walsh, 80kg Kelyn Cassidy and 92+kg Martin McDonagh are currently vying to book their tickets to Paris at the 2nd Olympic World Qualifier which began today in Bangkok, Thailand.
