The tournament concluded this afternoon with Ireland claiming 2 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze.
Dubin’s Adam Olaniyan and Wexford’s Caoimhe Kinsella won titles in the Georgian capital.
Irish boxing has now won 19th gold medals at this level (schoolgirl boxing was introduced in 2018) since the inaugural tournament at Rome 2003.
The total Irish haul over the last 16 years is 119 medals.
Team Ireland’s medal-laden team are due to arrive home via Dublin Airport at 10 am on Monday morning. (Turkish TK1975 (12 AUG) Istanbul @ 0725 & Dublin @ 1000 (Terminal 1).
