Team Ireland’s ten-strong squad, pictured above last evening, arrived home from the European U/22 Championships in Russia via Dublin Airport last night.
Dundalk lightweight Amy Broadhurst claimed her second successive gold medal at the 34-nation tournament.
IABA President, Dominic O’Rourke, CEO Fergal Carruth, and High-Performance Director Bernard Dunne were at the Airport for the Bank Holiday homecoming.
“Amy Broadhurst winning gold was the highlight of the European U/22 Championships,” said team manager Stephen Molloy.
“All the team performed to their best and their commitment was there for all to see with many losing very tight contests to the outright champions.”
