IRISH SQUAD LEAVE FOR EUROPEAN SCHOOLBOYS C’SHIPS

 

Irish squad with Jason Quigley at Dublin Airport this morning

Undefeated Donegal middleweight Jason Quigley is backing the Boys in Green to impress at the European Schoolboy Championships in Romania.The ex European Elite champion and the first Irish male boxer to reach an AIBA World Elite final in 2013, met up with Team Ireland at Dublin Airport this morning.

The Irish squad flew out from Terminal 1 to Romania at 10am.

Irish coach Paddy Gallagher explained that Quigley, who also claimed European Youth gold for Ireland, left Terminal 2 to meet the Irish team and wish them the very best of luck at the Europeans.

“A brilliant gesture from the Donegal middleweight as he heads on his own journey towards world domination in the professional game,” said Gallagher.

The European Schoolboy Championships begin in Valcea, Romania tomorrow.
