BOYS & GIRLS JUNIOR CADET CHAMPIONSHIPS 2019

28th May 2019

Venue: National Stadium, Dublin

Boxing: June 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, and 5th & 6th of July

Weigh-in & Medical: Initial Weigh in and Medicals will take place on

Sunday 9th June 9.00am-10.00am in the following locations

Connacht: Dalton Inn, Claremorris (9.30-10.30am)

Leinster St Michaels Boxing Club Athy

Dublin: Ringside Club, Dublin

Munster: Fairgrove Hotel, Mitchelstown

Ulster: Oakleaf Boxing Club Derry

Antrim: Dockers Club Antrim

Boxing:

June 14th National Stadium 6.00pm

June 15th National Stadium 10.00am

June 21st National Stadium 6.30pm

June 22nd National Stadium 10.00am

July Friday 5th National Stadium 6.30pm Finals weigh-in 8-9am & 12-1pm

July Saturday6th National Stadium 11.00am Finals weigh in 8-9am

Draw: At the conclusion of the weigh-in, details of the weights will be sent

by email to sally@iaba.ie where the draw will be take place on

Tuesday June 11 at approximately 12.00pm.

Duration: Duration of rounds 3×1 ½ Minutes

Eligibility: Boys & Girls born in 2005 and 2006. Male Boxers must have

Competed in their Provincial Championships.

Boys Weight Divisions: 38.5kg, 40kg, 41.5kg, 43kg, 44.5kg, 46kg, 48kg,

50kg, 52kg,54kg, 56kg, 59kg, 62kg, 65kg, 68kg,

72kg, 76kg, 80kg, 90kg & 90+to 105kg (20 weights)

Girls Weight Divisions: 33-36kg, 39kg, 42kg, 45kg, 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg

60kg, 63kg, 67kg & 70kg (12 weights as per EUBC)

Entry Fee: Medical Record Cards and entry fee of 10 Euros must be produced at the initial weigh in.

Boxers must advise details of any medication they are taking or have taken in the preceding 4 weeks. Anti-Doping may be carried out at any stage of the competition.

Entries: Entries giving name, club, date of birth and weight to reach the under-signed at the National Stadium not later than Friday 7th June. It is a condition of entry that all boxers and their clubs have signed and submitted the Members Acknowledgement Form.

Passports all boxers must present a valid passport on the day of their finals they must be valid at least until April 2020.

Non-Pregnancy Declaration Forms must be signed and presented for the Official weigh-in.

Attention is called to the stipulation in the IABA Rule book that each boxer presented by his/her club shall be fit to box. This is the responsibility of the club.

Attire: Coaches must wear tracksuits and runners in their corners at all sessions and endeavour to set a high standard of hygiene. Boxers must wear hairnets or swim caps under their headgear. No red orange or Pink Gum shields are permitted. Long sleeved tops are not permitted under Vests.
