The second round of the Lead – Women’s Boxing Programme will begin shortly, and clubs are invited to take part.
The first round, as part of the #FollowHerLead2022 series, took place from March, driven by Trojan and Tralee Boxing Clubs. Dozens of women took part in boxing for the first time through the programme.
The IABA, through grant funding awarded by Sport Ireland in 2021, will fund RoI clubs in the provision of a free 6-week programme for new women members in 20 clubs. This funding is ring-fenced for Women in Sport initiatives.
The expression of interest form is attached, and the clubs will be included in the programme on a first come, first served, basis.
We’ll provide social media images and logos to help RoI clubs advertise their participation in this free programme.
Any clubs who wish to join those already registered for Lead – Women’s Boxing Programme, are invited to return the attached expression of interest form to IABA’s Women in Sport Lead, Louise McKenzie, through firstname.lastname@example.org by 5pm on October 31st. The programme must be delivered by December 31st.
