An historic number of clubs have registered delegates to attend the Extraordinary General Meeting of the IABA, taking place on at 11am on Sunday, July 10th, in Roscommon, Co. Roscommon. Registration closed at midday today.

In all, 132 clubs out of a total of 338 clubs affiliated by June 30th, have indicated their intention to attend. This represents 39% of clubs affiliated by June 30th. A list of clubs which have registered to attend the EGM is attached.

In reflection of the record number of attendees, and the EGM will now take place in Roscommon Gaels GAA Club, at Dr. Hyde Park. Athlone Rd, Roscommon Town. In the interest of health and safety, in particular the current huge rise in Covid cases we feel this decision is in the best interest of our members and the GAA Hall being used will allow for people to adequately socially distance, should they so wish. The GAA Hall is just 900 metres from Hannon’s Hotel, which will continue to provide catering, refreshments and ancillary support services to the EGM and delegates.
